Pearl in the Egg is Karen Wareham and Liz Woolnough, two experienced multi-instrumentalists with a passion for bringing the music of the past to life.
From haunting medieval songs and dances to the lively sound-world of Tudor and Elizabethan England, we perform on an extraordinary collection of historical instruments. Music, historical context, storytelling and a little humour combine to create performances that are atmospheric, engaging and memorable.
Based in Norfolk and happy to travel, Pearl in the Egg performs at castles, historic houses, museums, churches, festivals, concerts, living-history events, weddings, private events and educational settings.
